THIS was a tough encounter for the Heath Road youngsters with top tackling needed from wingers Simm and Fonterigo to prevent Tarleton scoring in the first half.
Good maul work from centre Duggan allowed standoff Critchley to rip the ball on several occasions.
Accurate throwing by hooker Coulter in the lineouts allowed the Wids to make vital pressure on the Tarleton defensive line, with centre Mercer feeding the ball to scrumhalf Oliver who jinked over to give the Wids the lead.
The power of props Cooke and Quinn proved too much for the Tarleton forwards as they controlled every scrum.
Solid running from Wilson with the great passing skills of Jones allowed Scott to find gaps in the tired Tarleton line.
A magical move from Pinder saw the winger confuse the Tarleton scrum half allowing Oliver to dive over for the Wids second try.
