CRONTON started slowly in the Guardian Cup second round tie at Croft.
Paul Tillett opened the scoring after a clever Gaz Jones step-over.
Goals from Jeff Bell and Steve Quirk gave Cronton a 3-0 half-time lead.
A fourth early in the second from Kev Gould effectively ended the game as a contest and Mark Stanton completed the scoring.
Croft grabbed a late consolation goal.
Cronton Villa take on Vicars FC at Wilmere Lane on Saturday, kick-off 3pm.

MOORFIELD dominated the early stages and were rewarded with a well-worked Dowling goal.
A fine Andy McGuffie header made the score level at half-time.
Immediately after the re-start Dave Gannon scored with a near post header and a Baz Griffiths penalty extended the lead.
Moorfield were run ragged by the pace of Smith and McGuffie and further goals from McGuffie and a long-range Gannon effort completed the scoring.
Cronton Villa reserves travel to second placed Fearnhead this weekend.
