MAYOR Cllr Pay Tyrrell's police bail has been extended after Cheshire police arrested him in an investigation into alleged voter fraud.
Cllr Tyrrell's bail was extended into November on Monday night.
No charges have been brought against the 73-year-old, who represents Castlefields in Runcorn.
Halton Council leader Tony McDermott said Cllr Tyrrell still enjoyed his continuing support and that the council was awaiting for the outcome of the police enquiries.
