AN extension being built at Comberbach Methodist Church is on schedule to finish at the end of November.
Between £40,000 and £50,000 was raised for the work, which will see two new rooms built over the existing Sunday School room.
Most of the money was raised by donations and fundraising events such as garden parties, raffles and auctions, while a small amount was donated in the form of grants.
Fundraising for the extension started five years ago with the aim to increase the space available for the organisations that use the church.
A committee member said: "It is great to see it coming to fruition. It has all been a big effort."
The rooms will be ready for use in January 2005.
