AT the end of May this year I started to feel generally unwell. Then my lip and chin went numb. I was treated for a virus. I was then given the devastating news that I had leukaemia - Burkett's Lymphoma.
Today is October 7 and I have been on Ward 27 at Manchester Royal Infirmary since the beginning of June in an isolation room - only being allowed four people to visit me. I have had a bit of time at home. I am now having my fifth chemotherapy session.
The reason I am writing this letter is to say to people enjoy your lives, children, friends and family. Take time out and enjoy the beauty around you.
Thank you to all my friends and family for their cards, prayers, letters and emails.
And thank you to all the wonderful people who donate blood. What a wonderful gift from one human being to another.
SARAH JANE BLEASE, aged 34
