THE recently retired chairman of Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Trust has paid tribute to all the staff that has helped the trust improve during his time in charge.
Robin Farmer OBE, who received his honour for services to the NHS, finished his term of office at the end of November.
He said he had seen many changes and developments during his eight years as chairman.
Mr Farmer said: "One of the greatest improvements I have been part of is halving the number of people on our waiting lists and the length of time people have to wait.
"It is credit to all staff that this dramatic improvement has been made possible."
