RUNCORN rowing club athlete Val Edwards won bronze at the 2004 AXA PPP Healthcare British Indoor Rowing Championship.
Val, 44, was taking part in the Women's 40-44 heavyweight category and achieved an impressive time of seven minutes, 38.5 seconds in front of a 7,000 strong crowd of fitness enthusiasts and Olympians. The event is the largest participatory indoor sporting event in Europe.
