A FARMER in Cronton for example has terrible problems with people stealing farm equipment and burgling his house.
The ideal solution would be to put up a nice green, six-foot fence and gate that he can lock so only he can get in and out but he can't do this because a public footpath runs through his land.
I have noticed that all over Widnes public rights of way have been blocked by large green locked gates, I can only assume this is for home security.
It's a shame for the farmer, I wonder if this is some sort of double standards thing?
