RUNCORN Boys squandered a number of chances early on before finally going ahead through Anto Ellison sixth in as many games.

Helsby were unlucky before the break, as they were denied twice by home 'keeper Chris Thompson who produced two outstanding saves.
Runcorn doubled their advantage after the interval despite the heroics of David Nevitt in the Helsby goal.
Lewis Mogg hit the top corner with his first, then added a second after Jak Tompsitt had seen his shot rebound off the post.
