TEACHER Helen Foxley will be heading for a new life Down Under at the end of the year.

The head of mathematics at King's Grove School in Crewe, Helen will be boarding a flight to Australia on December 27 to begin a year-long teacher exchange.

Helen will be swapping homes and jobs with Margaret Heys from Canberra and will join the teaching staff at St Clare's Catholic College, a Canberra girl's college for 11 to 18-year-olds, returning home in December of next year.

Meanwhile Margaret will team up with the teaching staff at King's Grove, working in the maths department at Crewe for the same period.

King's Grove's Judith Wiltshire said: "This is an excellent opportunity for the school to take part in an international programme designed to broaden the horizons of all those that take part.

"Mrs Heys will be a welcome addition to the school where pupils are already looking forward to her arrival."
