Family trees can be traced for free at Cheshire's Record office in Duke Street, Chester, on Saturday.
Knutsford residents have been invited to learn more about their family history at the event in connection with the BBC series Who Do You Think You Are?
Visitors will also be able to tour the strongrooms from 10am to 4pm where eight miles of documents dating from the Middle Ages are on show.
