AN impressive Hornets display saw them beat Mayfield.
Jack Owens was man of the match, Alex Clare took the coach's award for a great defensive effort.
Jack Buck opened the scoring after an unforced error before dummying his way through to score another. Alex Clare then crashed over after a great run from George McDonnell. Buck completed his hat trick with another dummy and strong run.
After the break, Owens chipped over the defence and touched down.
Errors started to creep into the Hornets play and Mayfield added a try.
But Owens killed off their comeback when, defending a kick, he took the ball on the move and raced the full length of the pitch to score a fantastic try.
George McDonnell finished the scoring following a neat kick from Owens.
