WITH regard to the article printed in the World last week about the shops at Grangeway, and particularly the comments attributed to Insp Chris Clarke.
What we need is not community action teams.
What are the real police doing while our areas are being turned into no-go zones?
Maybe the officers live in affluent areas where you do not have to hope that when you awake the following morning your car is not burned out, which seems to be a regular occurrence now.
If we cannot have real police officers on the beat dealing with these low lifes, maybe the residents should withhold the police payment within the council tax.
We could then get together and pay for a private security firm to deal with the problems on our estates.
