ALBERT Park made it three successive wins with victory against Higginshaw.
Higginshaw who took an early lead with a penalty before the ball was moved swiftly along the line for Jimmy Mellor to put Alan Gregson over in the corner for his first try for the club.
Mark Birmingham, making his debut, kicked the conversion.
Another penalty reduced the arrears to two points but the Albert soon scored again when the ball was moved to the right for Dave Murphy to go over for what was also his first try for the Albert.
Alan Gregson put the Albert on the attack with a 40 yard run and after Murphy was held short, the ball was switched back to the left for Mellor to go over.
Five minutes before the interval Higginshaw hit back with a converted try.
A good ball put Mellor through and his pace took him round the full back and 40 yards to the line.
Midway through the second-half the Albert increased their lead to 23-10 with two penalties and a drop goal from Chris Walton.
Richie Miller was denied a couple of tries when the ball just rolled over the dead ball line from a kick through and then a superb length of the field move looked to bring him a certain try but the last pass went astray.
A superb break by Dave Murphy was backed up by Mark Birmingham who went over in the corner.
The conversion was missed but Chris Walton landed a fine penalty from the halfway line.
Fine performances from Murphy, Gregson and Walton but the man of the match went to debutant Mark Birmingham.
Albert Park entertain Culcheth Eagles at Parklands next, kick-off 2pm.
