SHE was like a favourite auntie to all the kids nearby.
Elizabeth Turberfields was well known and loved for caring for all the children near her home in Tanhouse, The Brow, Runcorn.
But the 37-year-old was tragically found dead outside the flats one morning last month.
"It was a sudden death. We are all absolutely stunned," said her brother, Leslie Butterfields. "All the children knew her as 'Auntie Liz'. She made sure they were well looked after.
"It was something she did all the time. She didn't bat an eyelid when it came to helping children.
"She was like a favourite relative who always came to visit. She loved kids."
Elizabeth, originally from London, moved to Runcorn in 1997.
Her brother said her death will leave an 'enormous' gap in the lives of her family and friends.
"The point I would like to make was that what she did for Runcorn and the local children was superb. She made a real difference," said Leslie, an engineer from Chingford in London.
"She gave the local community a hell of a lot.
"She put a lot into the area. It made her really happy to be able to help the kids."
