A RECENT meeting of Davenham Methodist Wives Group was opened by vice president Barbara Foster with a prayer.
There was a special welcome for Betty Thomas after her recent illness.
Members were told that the Christmas carol service would be on December 15.
The speaker, Christina Westwell gave a very interesting talk entitled Passport to India.
Christina had visited India three times. The first was for a wedding, the second time on behalf of Christian Aid and the third for her honeymoon.
She brought along many things she had collected and had a large array of photographs.
Members agreed they had learned many things about Indian life.
