TATTON Falcons U8 5

Davenham Dynamoes U8 B 4

IT was not the victory alone, but also the manner of the victory that warmed the hearts of the home supporters.

After a mixed season to date, the Falcons dramatically raised their game and produced their best ever team performance.

With one notable exception it is difficult to single out any individual player as each of the boys made a significant contribution to this marvellous display.

The strike pairing of Jacob Millett and Ciarn O'Brien were superb and continue to build on the excellent understanding they have between themselves. Both forwards featured on the score sheet with Jacob scoring a stunning individual goal whilst Ciarn found the net twice.

The resilient James Davies and the battling Cameron Phillips both produced big performances.

Battle

They managed to win the midfield battle over their illustrious and capable opponents.

Cameron timed his forward runs to superb effect, enabling him to score twice.

Declan Ruddock faired particularly well in goal and contributed to the Falcons attacking options with some excellent, long clearances.

The reliable Henry McDonald turned in another immaculate performance whilst substitutes Alex Roberts and Sam Witter both turned on the style when they were introduced to the fray.

Although as a team the Falcons were magnificent, the individual performance of the day belonged to James Harris who raised his game by an extraordinary level.

His tenacious, courageous, energetic, skilful and visionary display deservedly secured him the man of the match award in a game where the Falcons finally flew to new, unfamiliar heights.
