Rylands 20
Blackbrook 32
RYLANDS blew their chance of winning their North West Counties Amateur Rugby League Premier Division clash with Blackbrook by making a nightmare start.
Blackbrook swept into an early 18-0 lead and Rylands were always playing catch up.
They gave themselves a lifeline with tries by Peter Leonard, coach Mark Forster, John Welch and Andy Brown.
But their never-say-die spirit and commendable comeback bid received no reward as Blackbrook recorded a comfortable win.
The best performers for Rylands were Leonard, Welch, Flannery and Tony Berry.
