MOORE survived a second half fight back to record a vital win in South Lancashire/ Cheshire Three.
They led 11-5 at the half-time break and came out on top after finding a second wind after Newton had gone five points in front.
Skipper for the day Nathan Potter touched down his second try of the game after second rower McClarney had crashed head first into an upright and the influential Matt Richmond secured the spoils.
Richards also scored for Moore while Max Ferguson and Potter added goals.
