SANDBACH RUFC got bullied out of their clash with high-flying Rochdale.
Despite a fine first-half performance and an interval lead, the Bradwall Road boys got a taste of the rough stuff and ended up on the losing end of an 18-6 scoreline.
It didn't look possible after building on a decent start and enjoying most of the possession that earned a 3-0 lead at half time via the boot of Andy Rollins.
But it was a different story after the break when the hosts turned on the aggression and managed to get
away with it.
Sandbach wilted somewhat and another penalty was their only reply as Rochdale powered to victory.
Slipping into the bottom three of South Lancs/Cheshire Division One, Sandbach must win at home
to rock-bottom Southport, this Saturday.
"We looked in control at half time and it was just a question of building on it," said captain Ray Jones.
"But they bullied us in the second half and we let it happen.
"It's disappointing and it's another loss but we're not getting outclassed in this league.
"We're just need to start performing for the full 80 minutes.
"We must beat Southport."
