CREWE town centre will be hosting a new Winters Night event this evening - Thursday 9 December - featuring a lantern-lit parade and tumbling acrobats.
The Dream Engine's Candle makes its first Cheshire appearance on the Lyceum Square with an
elaborate eight metre high candle decked in white silks, inside which an acrobat will perform.
The spectacular show, which has proven a huge success across Europe, will start at 6pm, with performances at 7pm and 8pm.
The square will also feature children's rides, while the Peter Pan lantern parade will make its way
around town.
A crocodile, created by pupils from Underwood West Junior School, will stalk the streets lit by a
multitude of lanterns and followed by panto characters.
Leaving the theatre at 6.15, the parade will be led by Captain Hook's boat, with music from local band The Weavils and regular stops for short pieces of music and drama.
The magical entertainment will kick off at 5.30pm when snowmen, snow queens and Santa's elves will take over the streets.
