THE gloves are off at Warrington Town Hall as two borough council departments go head-to-head in the battle for a top award.
Staff from the economic development team and Golden Gates Housing will be waiting on tenterhooks tonight, Thursday, at the final of the S2W (Skills to Work) Awards in Manchester.
Both teams entered the awards in the 'innovation in workforce development' category and the winner will be decided at the ceremony.
Both departments are up against representatives from Stockport. The departments will be judged on the quality of the training offered to staff.
