BOWDON took the upper hand in the second half of a nail-biting women's hockey match on Saturday.
Newton were 1-0 down but then equalised through Mel Heaps.
They went 2-1 down but again Newton equalised but this time courtesy of Emma Chedotal.
The half-time score was pushed on to 3-3 and Newton could only manage one other goal in the second half as Bowdon took control.
Newton's player of the match was Anita Matlack.
On Saturday, Newton entertain Wilmslow at Selwyn Jones, push back 1.30pm.
