BUDDING artists from the Dane Walk Centre in Northwich showed their painting talents in their first public exhibition.
The centre for disabled people offers a weekly art class and aspiring artists have spent the past term studying wildlife and nature as painting subjects.
Tutor Sue Evans, who has been working with the group for the past three months, said her pupils had done so well that their work deserved to go on display.
She said: "They've been fantastic - the work is of a very good standard. Some of their paintings are getting quite experimental."
The project has been particularly special for Hilda Johns, who has had to relearn how to paint after suffering a stroke.
Hilda said: "I used to do a lot of painting and played the piano but couldn't after I had my stroke. It's been lovely to be able to paint again."
The work is currently on display in Northwich Information Centre.
