A TWO-YEAR-OLD’s pram was pushed over by a criminal in a botched post office robbery.
The man entered Locking Stumps post office, also known as Dillons newsagents, on Glover Road, Birchwood, at 2.45pm yesterday and accessed the till area.
The suspect, who is described as being a white man in his late teens to early twenties, threatened staff and tried to enter the till.
Failing to get access he went to leave, grabbing a customer’s handbag which was hooked on a pushchair, causing it to topple over.
The tot was uninjured and the offender fled the scene empty handed.
He is described ass being of slim build and around 5ft 7in or 5ft 8in tall. He was dressing in dark clothing with a green scarf across his face. He wore a hat pulled over his hair and forehead.
