THE Orford clinic has reopened again in the wake of patient demand.
The Eric Moore Partnership GP Practice reopened its Orford branch surgery on February 1 after surveys revealed residents wanted a GP service back on their doorstep.
Officials were at the opening with patient group chief Richard MacRae.
Clrs Kate Hannon and John Kerr-Brown had been lobbying for the doctor’s branch to reopen.
Nicky O’Connor, NHS Warrington’s chief executive, said: “I am delighted the surgery has re-opened and commend everyone involved for their hard work.
“Patient care remains a key priority, we continue to place great importance on listening to patients and strive to provide services that meet their needs.” The first patient to access the service for a GP appointment, Mary Somerset, expressed her delight.
She said: “Having a branch of my surgery just around the corner makes our lives so much easier, especially for the elderly and disabled patients of Orford.”
