A HOWLEY church raised more than £1,000 for The Children’s Society last year.
St Elphin’s Church, on Church Street, collected £1,089 throughout the year.
They raised £576 at a service on Christmas Eve, £179 was donated from St Elphin’s CE Primary School that was collected at the school’s Christmas carol service and £334 was raised from collection boxes at the church.
