The scene this afternoon
KNUTSFORD Road in Latchford has been closed after a child was hit by a HGV.
The eight-year-old boy, who has not been identified, was struck by the lorry just before 3.50pm close to the Spar shop.
He has been taken to Warrington Hospital with head injuries.
It is not known how seriously hurt the child is.
Police have closed the road from the Black Bear pub to St Mary's Street.
Traffic is heavy in the area.
