RESIDENTS are being warned by Trading Standards to be on their guard against a company using the name ‘Drive Clean’, claiming to be specialists in steam cleaning and block paving.
The company is distributing a professional looking flyer and claim to be based at Unit Five, Eagle Park Drive in Winwick with branches in Glasgow and Edinburgh and are offering to seal drives with a chemical, which prevents moss from returning.
Trading Standards have spoken to the owner of the premises and have confirm there is no such business operating from that address.
A spokesman for Trading Standards said: “We strongly urge people not to enter into agreements with traders who cold call.
“If you see an advert in which the trader claims to be Drive Clean of the above address, claims to be trading from the above address, or you have dealt with a trader using this address and require further advice please contact Trading Standards on 08454 040506.”
