ARTISTIC students at Culcheth High School have been filming the progress of Olympic hopeful Johnny Akinyemi as he trains for 2012.
The school is one of five chosen to make a short video as part of Panasonic’s Olympic Witness News (OWN) after the company was impressed with Culcheth High’s DVD about under age drinking.
It will also be shown at the Beijing Olympics this year in front of a global audience of athletes and spectators.
Sharon Sullivan, teacher and OWN coordinator, said: “The idea is that people can be inspired as they follow the story of these up-and-coming Olympians.”
The 19-year-old, from Locking Stumps hopes to compete in the canoe slalom in 2012, representing Nigeria.
