STAFF and residents at St Oswald’s Care Home in Winwick raised £96 for charity during World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.
Action on Elder Abuse works to protect and prevent the abuse of vulnerable older adults.
Along with the International Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse it aims to stress the need for people to understand what elder abuse is and how it can be prevented.
St Oswald’s marked the occasion by holding a fancy dress event.
Alison Wakefield, activities co-ordinator at the care home, said: “It was excellent. All the staff dressed up and we had an entertainer come in for the residents.”
