YOUNGSTERS from Dweezils nursery put their first foot forward when they took part in an all-day sponsored walk.

The children, aged two to four, walked from the pre-school at the Westbrook Shopping Centre, on Cromwell Avenue, to the Jungle play and party centre by LA Bowl at Chetham Court in Winwick Quay.

Peter Nuckley, organiser, said: “It’s the first time we’ve done a sponsored walk. We stopped for lunch at Sankey Valley Park and then the children played at the gym before their parents picked them up.

“All the proceeds are going to Barnardo’s.”
