1. Piccolino - Stockton Heath

Piccolino, located on Victoria Square, was rated as the best restaurant with an outdoor area in Warrington, boasting a stretch of outdoor dining tables covered by a canopy and in true British fashion accompanied by heated lamps for when the sun sets and the evening chill settles in.

One five-star review said: “A fabulous family meal in a beautiful restaurant. The whole experience from simple, straightforward booking & pre-visit communication to the service at the table was excellent.”

2. Pickering Arms, Thelwall

“Very nice open kitchen and a big pizza oven so we had one.”

5. The Botanist, Time Square

One reviewer said the restaurant is ‘faultless’, commenting: “Situated in a cosy and beautiful square, almost hidden from the city centre hustle and bustle, the grill on the square looks fantastic both inside and out.

“We were warmly greeted and offered some drinks whilst we perused the menus in the bar area. The server brought our drinks over and then took our food order.

“In no time at all we were shown to our table and to my surprise our starters were laid out waiting for us which was a lovely touch.”

7. Ego Mediterranean Restaurant & Bar, Stockton Heath

“Been a few times now and never had a bad meal. Always left with full stomachs and a lovely evening. Well worth it if you are in the area.”
