More lane closures are set to take place today on the Mersey Gateway Bridge.
Maintenance work is scheduled to continue on the southbound side of the bridge between Widnes and Runcorn tonight, Thursday.
Closures will be put in place on the slip road and lane one of the bridge between 8pm and 5am.
Traffic is going to be diverted onto the Silver Jubilee Bridge while closures are in place.
A spokesperson for Mersey Gateway Bridge said: "Maintenance works are programmed to take place tonight on the southbound Mersey Gateway Bridge.
"Widnes Loops on-slip and lane 1 on the Mersey Gateway Bridge will be closed between 20:00 - 05:00.
"Traffic will be diverted to Silver Jubilee Bridge."
