A ‘CARELESSLY’ discarded cigarette is believed to have set fire to two industrial waste bins in Warrington.
Firefighters were called to Winwick Street at 5.20am this morning, Saturday.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “A carelessly discarded cigarette is believed to be the cause of a fire involving two industrial waste bins in a compound.
“Firefighters used a hose reel jet to put the fire out.
“There was no damage to any nearby buildings.”
One fire engine from Warrington dealt with the incident.
Firefighters also tackled a fire in the open on Bewsey Farm Close shortly before 9pm last night.
A water backpack was used to put out the fire.
