A NEW campaign has been launched for more people to join a team of volunteers in Warrington.

Warrington Voluntary Action has released a specifically produced video to help encourage more people to volunteer across the town.

The charity, which is based on Sankey Street in the town centre, connects volunteers with projects across Warrington.

Now, the video launched by the charity hopes to encourage more people to sign up to be a volunteer.

“Warrington is a vibrant and growing town, and volunteers provide a wide range of support to a diverse mix of people,” said Jordan Johnson, Warrington Voluntary Action’s operations lead.

“The aim of the video is to promote and encourage people to try volunteering by highlighting the different ways they might want to get involved in their local community.”

The three-and-a-half-minute video, which was funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, showcases four volunteers and the personal satisfaction they gain by helping others in the community.

“There are lots of opportunities to volunteer in Warrington and our website currently has over 100 different options for people to get involved with,” said Jordan.

“If you’re looking to volunteer in Warrington or looking for volunteers in the town, get in touch and we can discuss your options.”
