WARRINGTON male voice choir have won the North Wales Choir Festival - ‘single voice’ category, for the second time.

They last won the coveted trophy in November 2019 just a matter of weeks prior to the world going into lockdown due to the global pandemic.

Choir secretary, Amanda Davies, said “What a way to start our 126th year!

"We had such a fabulous year last year celebrating our 125th anniversary and to bring home a trophy from a Welsh Choir Festival, for the second time in a few years, is credit to the hard work and dedication that our choristers have put in.

Warrington Guardian:

"We mustn’t forget of course that none of this would be possible without our music team, Accompanist, Elizabeth Paterson and Musical Director, Russell Paterson, who incidentally this year, Russell is celebrating his 30th year as MD of the choir.

"His leadership and technical prowess is second to none! We are truly very lucky to have him at the helm of our choir."

The choir also wants to thank all their supporters, including choir members friends and family, for coming along and supporting the choir over the weekend.
