A MAJOR Warrington children’s charity has installed a defibrillator on-site to maximize safety provisions.

Founder patrons of Warrington Youth Zone, the Purslow Family, generously donated the defibrillator to further extend the safety measures put in place on the site.

The Dallam Lane facility, which provides a huge range of activities for children of all ages, has been proactive in measures to ensure it is equipped to respond to any emergency ‘promptly and effectively’.

This ongoing preparation underlines the organisation's unwavering dedication to providing a secure environment for its young members, who range in age from seven to 19 (and up to 25 for those with additional needs).

Warrington Youth Zone chief executive Dave McNicholl expressed his gratitude for the long-standing support of the Purslow Family.

"The safety and wellbeing of our members and staff remain our top priority,” he said.

“We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Purslow Family for their continued generosity which, in this donation, has allowed us to enhance our emergency preparations and provide a safer environment for our community."

As founder patrons, the Purslow Family's enduring support has played a pivotal role in Warrington Youth Zone's ability to fulfil its mission of empowering young people and fostering their development since the organisation opened its doors in 2022.
