AN animal charity in Warrington is looking for a forever home for its longest stayer.

Seven-year-old mastiff cross Apollo, a resident at Cheshire Dogs’ Home in Grappenhall, is described as ‘loveable, playful, and bouncy’.

He enjoys off-lead time in the exercise area and likes playing with toys – although he is equally happy spending time in the office where he likes to relax on an armchair.

Apollo, who is a former stray, needs a home without children under 14 due to his size.

He walks well with other dogs from the home, but he does enjoy his own space and for that reason he’d need to be the only dog in the household.

Senior home manager Anna Stansfield said: “Apollo loves being around people and he has so much to give.

“He’ll make a loving and loyal companion, and we’re confident the right owner is out there for this special boy.”

Anyone interested in meeting Apollo with a view to adoption should call Cheshire Dogs’ Home on 0300 102 1212 or visit www.dogshome.net. Cheshire Dogs’ Home operates an appointments-only policy.
