ROMEO Beckham was in the crowd watching Luke Littler contest the World Darts Championship Final – and the whole tournament attracted a whole host of famous faces.

Romeo and his football legend dad David Beckham both sent messages of good luck to the Warrington 16-year-old ahead of his showdown with Frodsham-based Luke Humphries at Alexandra Palace on Wednesday night.

Littler has revealed he received messages during the tournament from a host of celebrities and sports stars, including players from his beloved Warrington Wolves and Manchester United.

Comedian and television presenter Paddy McGuinness was among the famous names to show his support of the former Padgate Academy student on social media on the night of the final.

It further highlights how sensational teen Littler’s world has changed over the past few weeks.

He pushed new world number one Humphreys to the wire in a final that attracted record viewing figures but fell 7-4 at the end of his thrilling debut in the tournament.

Such has been his impact in the tournament, he has now been selected by the PDC as one of the eight players to compete in this year’s Premier League.
