CHESHIRE Dogs’ Home is ‘desperate’ to rehome an XL bully before the ban comes into place at the end of this month.

Last month, the Grappenhall animal charity shared an appeal in the hope of finding three XL bully dogs their forever homes.

As the three pooches were ‘special cases’ given the upcoming change in government legislation around their breed, the charity offered comprehensive support packages to the right adopters.

This included ongoing advice, muzzle training, and priority neutering and spaying vouchers.

One-and-a-half-year-old Eden was lucky enough to be rehomed following the appeal.

But Cheshire Dogs’ Home has now revealed that she has sadly been returned to them due to her wanting all the attention from her owners in her new home environment.

Due to her breed, staff are ‘desperate’ to find her another home before the ban comes into place on December 31.

Eden is social with other dogs, but the team feels she needs to be the only dog in the home.

She is playful due to her young age and can be giddy at times.

Because of her large size, she needs an adult-only home.

Staff have been working hard with her on muzzle training in line with the recommended best practice for XL bully owners and this will need to be continued in her new home – with ongoing support if needed.

The home has asked those interested not to contact them about transferring her to another country due to the deadline for the ban being too close.
