A SUCCESSFUL businesswoman has opened the doors to her stunning new salon just four doors down from her former premises.

Just weeks after arriving back from working New York Fashion Week, Kayleigh Louise Edwards, who owns Kayleigh Louise Hair and Beauty Salon on Martin Avenue, had a glittering launch event this week at her new business venue.

Kayleigh, who is 30 and lives in Great Sankey, was in her old salon for seven years and won six industry awards including making the shortlist for Warrington’s Best for Hair in 2022 and 2023.

Kayleigh, who has been hairdressing for 14 years, said: “I’m so proud to open my own salon – it’s taken 18 months from starting building to opening the doors on Tuesday.

“Over the past seven years, I’ve created a popular hair and beauty salon in Warrington and have now achieved one of my biggest goals.

“Last year, my husband and I decided to buy the land at the end of the row of shops on Martin Avenue to build my own salon.

“I always wanted to be a hairdresser since I was a little girl – I can’t imagine doing anything else.

“I choose this business because I like making people happy and giving them confidence. “Seeing clients at the end of their treatment is amazing and the feedback is great.”

Kayleigh flew out to the United States at the beginning of September with colleagues Indeya Roberts and Tamzin Petch to work with 15 other hairdressers.

They gave fashion models a daily glow up before they walked down the catwalk and now have their sights set on London Fashion Week.

Kayleigh said: “We had to be at the studios for 5.30am to get the models ready.

“Once we’d finished work we were able to watch New York Fashion Week – it was such an amazing opportunity to work with such a fantastic team.

“The whole experience was a pinch me moment – knowing we were in New York working on models about to walk the catwalk was great and something we’d like to do again.

“I’d love to London Fashion Week – we spoke about it while we were in New York.”

Kayleigh-Louise decided to open her own business when she moved back from Australia and she wanted to open a salon in Warrington with a touch of Oz.

Kayleigh said: “The atmosphere in our salon is something that clients always comment on. We make every single person who walks through the door feel welcome and part of the Kayleigh Louise family. Customers love the Kayleigh Louise collection, which are products that work for your hair but are still affordable. We also offer silent appointments for clients that feel anxious about coming into the salon.
