WOOLSTON Neighbourhood Hub is a 'wreck' and an 'absolute disgrace,' according to those who use it.

The leisure facility is owned and managed by LiveWire, which has recently been announced to be coming back under the control of Warrington Borough Council.

Images sent to the Warrington Guardian highlight the state of the leisure facility, with one LiveWire membership holder calling the hub an 'absolute disgrace.'

Posting online, one membership holder raised the issues, saying: "Woolston Neighbourhood Hub is a wreck.

"Look at how many wet floor signs are out or buckets, they're not mopping up, they’re catching rainwater from the absolutely knackered roof.

“It's an absolute disgrace and by no means is it the manager’s fault, nor do they have any ability to do anything about it, their hands are tied.

“What makes me laugh the most is LiveWire knocked Fordton down and built Orford Jubilee and then knocked Sankey down and rebuilt it.

"While at the same time, Woolson hasn't changed in 35 years."

He added: "I learnt to swim here and I can walk on the same tiles I walked on when I got my 100m badge when I was five, it's an absolute joke.

“I wouldn't be mad if my excessive council tax was going to pay for it, but it isn't and nor will it.”

Responding to the issues being raised with the Warrington Guardian, a spokesperson for LiveWire acknowledged that there are problems at the site.

The spokesperson said: "We recognise there are ongoing issues at Woolston Neighbourhood Hub.

"We are continuing to actively work together with Warrington Borough Council to resolve these problems.”
