A MUSIC shop in Culcheth is the world's largest vendor of a rare form of guitar, its owner says.
Wax Musical, which operates from Culcheth's CPS shopping centre, is the best place in the world to find Antonio Tsai guitars.
Managing director of Wax Musical, Sam Dooley, says that the store has the world's largest supply of these rare guitars.
The store has been open in the village for just over a year, with locals being incredibly supportive of the venture.
Sam, who is 53, is originally from Manchester, but now is the MD for the store in Culcheth.
He told the Warrington Guardian: "The store has just celebrated its first year trading and has provided instruments and services to many local people, but has shipped instruments to Canada, USA, Singapore, Germany, and even Ukraine.
"I used to work in the music industry as a tour manager for some pretty well-known artists but the pandemic caused the cancellation of all my tours.
"I did tour work for Heather Small, Leon Hendrix (Jimi's brother), and assisted on many Real Thing shows."
He said that having the store is incredibly rewarding, adding that 'being able to supply amazing instruments to people who can't get them anywhere else is always satisfying.'
In terms of keeping an eye on the horizon, the store owner said: "Our online store will expand so that we can offer hundreds of great products for delivery everywhere."
Sam explained that stocking the rare guitars makes his store different to most other musical shops: "We have the largest supply of AntonioTsai art guitars - featuring inlays with various beautiful designs including lions, peacocks, eagles, dancers and lizard - in the world.
"If anyone knows of anywhere else that has them, feel free to drop me a line."
Wax Musical can be found at Unit Eight, in Culcheth's CPS shopping centre, off Jackson Avenue.
