WARRINGTON came alive with colour on Saturday as thousands enjoyed a Pride celebration.
Organisers say Warrington Pride, which took place throughout the day, was bigger, better, more colourful and so much more fun than they could have hoped for.
The first Pride event in Warrington for quite some time, and the first on this scale say the team at Golden Square, TAGS and HC Promotions come together to deliver a safe event attended day and night by thousands of people.
It included a march through the town centre in the day and a Glitter party under the Old Marker Place at night.
Ian Cox, from Golden Square, said: "It had such a good atmosphere, completely family friendly and we were blown away by the positive response from the whole of the town.
"Glitter in the evening was bouncing!
"MX World, Crystal and then Fleur East really got everyone going, and it all ended with a goosebump sing-along of All you need is Love by the Beatles!
"Big thanks to our headline sponsors United Utilities as well as all the other partners involved in making this a huge success." Planning gas already started for 2024.
