A NEW vehicle designed to show support for Pride 2023 will be a permanent feature of the town's fleet of buses.

The new bus, draped in Pride Month livery, is the latest addition to Warrington's Own Buses' fleet.

As per the company's managing director, the bus is not just here for Pride Month, but is a permanent fixture of the new fleet of buses.

The bus is a result of the partnership work between Warrington BID and its partners, which includes Warrington’s Own Buses.

One of the panels on the bus is promoting Warrington's own Pride event, which is taking place on Saturday, June 24.

The event will feature appearances from Fleur East, and Crystal - a former contestant on RuPaul's Drag Race.

Ben Wakerley, managing director of Warrington’s Own Buses, said: “We wanted something bold and dynamic that can show our support to Pride all year round.

"It certainly brings a flash of colour and community to our fleet.

"We work closely with Warrington BID and its partners to deliver the best we can for our town and its diverse communities.”

Warrington BID’s project manager, Andrea Morley, said “As part of the Warrington Pride celebrations, the BID will continue to work and support businesses across the town centre with their plans for the day, showing their support for our LGBTQ+ community.

"We’re expecting a busy event and would like to extend our gratitude for the support provided by Warrington’s Own Buses, all our partners, town centre businesses, emergency services and the council’s town centre team.”
