THE popular Cookhouse Comedy Club is returning to Warrington Market this month.

Featuring an ever-impressive live-up of comedians and providing an evening of belly laughs, the next installment of the comedy club comes as part of Warrington’s Pride celebrations.

Scouse wit and raconteur Bren Riley will once again host the evening. There will then be sets from Newcastle native Louise Young who has quickly become one of the brightest new names on the comedy circuit.

Plus a set from multi-award-winning working class wordsmith, Brennan Reece, who you may have seen on the BBC’s Live At The Apollo, E4’s Celebrity Coach Trip, and Roast Battle on Comedy Central.

Tickets are limited and cost £10, with food and drink options available to purchase from popular Cookhouse traders, Louie’s Pizza and Krua Thai on the night, and The Hop Emporium and Pink Leaf Cocktail Co. will be serving drinks all evening.

The event is taking place on Thursday, June 22, from 6.30pm to 11pm.

Cllr Tom Jennings, cabinet member for economic development and innovation said: “The comedy club events have been a great success and a fantastic addition to the Cookhouse Live series, I encourage everyone to come down to the market at Time Square to join in the fun and laughter as part of our Warrington Pride celebrations.”

Attendees must be aged 18 or over and seating is available on a first come, first served basis.

Tickets are on sale now and can be booked via Eventbrite. For more information, visit warrington.gov.uk/market and follow Warrington Market on social media @warringtonmkt for the latest updates.
