NEIGHBOURHOOD Weekender is well and truly underway, with the festival returning to Victoria Park once more.

This year's festival is the fifth time the event has run in Warrington, and festivalgoers have been spoilt with the weather.

As always, there are a number of tiers of tickets on offer to enter the festival, which includes standard one-day entry, standard weekend entry, and VIP entry.

VIP tickets entitle the holder to enter the exclusive VIP lounge at the festival - but is the price worth it?

Take a look inside the VIP lounge at this year's Neighbourhood Weekender.

The VIP lounge includes 'posh' toilets, a quieter seating area, as well as food stalls, a pop-up bar, and a full bar area, too.

As well as these features, there is a platform with an excellent view of the main stage, too.

One of the main differences that you'll see in the VIP lounge is the drinks on offer at the bars.

The VIP lounge has two types of bar areas - a full bar, and small beer stalls.

On offer at the beer stalls are just two types of drink: Moretti and Strongbow Dark Fruits.

The idea of this is presumably to ensure that queues for drinks in the VIP lounge are split between the main bar and these smaller stalls.

Moretti is not available at the non-VIP bars at the rest of the festival, from what I could tell - though it should be noted that these pints are being pulled for an eyewatering £6.90.

There are 'posh' toilets in the VIP lounge too, though it would be my advice to rein in any visions of marble bathrooms that you might have - the toilets in the lounge are pretty much identical to the usual facilities, except there are mirrors inside the VIP cubicles.

A lovely colourful hammock area has been set up in the centre of the lounge, but unless you arrive at the festival as soon as the gates open then you don't really have a chance at nabbing one of those.

The viewing platform is a nice touch for the lounge, and it has been a staple of the VIP experience since it was introduced - but saying that, there are views from the crowd in the non-VIP section that are just as good.

There are a lot of perks that come with the VIP zone: it's slightly quicker to get your drinks, it's slightly less busy than the rest of the festival, and the toilets are slightly cleaner.

Ultimately, I'd say it's worth paying a little bit extra to get in there - unfortunately the VIP tickets aren't a little bit extra; they're a lot extra.
