WARRINGTON’S Parr Hall is set to host members of multiple legendary Liverpool Champions League winning teams.

The Liverpool legends appearing will be Alan Kennedy, Dietmar “Didi” Hamman, and Bruce Grobbelaar, all of whom won a European Cup or Champions League for the club, playing key roles in some of the club’s most legendary moments.

Alan Kennedy was part of the 1980s Liverpool side who won two European Cup finals, with the full back scoring decisive goals in both. In the 1981 final against Real Madrid, Alan scored the winning and only goal of the match, securing the club’s third European trophy.

In 1984, after a tied match between Liverpool and Roma went to penalties, the stalwart left back scored the fifth and decisive penalty that clinched a second European cup that decade for the club.

This was accompanied by five league titles in his time at the club.

Didi Hamman meanwhile played a key role in the legendary Liverpool side who pulled off arguably the greatest final comeback ever in the 2005 Champions League Final against AC Milan.

Brought on at halftime for Steve Finnan, Hamman helped orchestrate the fightback from 3-0 down to 3-3, before slotting home his penalty with a broken foot.

Bruce Grobbelaar, Zimbabwe’s greatest ever footballer, played 628 games over 13 years for Liverpool, and played in the 1984 European Cup Final won by Kennedy.

His trademark leg wobble during the penalty shootout put off two Roma players, leading them to missing and Liverpool winning their fourth European cup.

The event will take place on July 4 at Parr Hall. Tickets are available across three tiers, with £95 VIP tickets giving access to the best seats in the house along with a private meet and greet, a professional picture, and one item to be signed. As well as this, the trio will be doing a talk about their time at Liverpool.
