A DRESS made by Warrington fashion designer Ossie Clark was described as a 'museum piece' by an Antiques Roadshow expert.
The item featured on Sunday's show from The Palm House at Sefton Park.
Expert Lisa Lloyd cast her eye over the dress from the 1970s.
It has been passed to the owner by a friend of his gran's in Altrincham.
Lloyd described how the glitterati of the 60s and 70s from Mick Jagger to The Beatles wore his clothes.
She said the silk dress was from the best period in his work, the early 70s.
She described it as 'absolutely stunning', a 'joy to see' and a 'museum piece'.
She said it would fecth between £800 and £1,000.
Ossie Clark, a fashion designer from Orford, headed to London where he took the fashion world by storm.
He has been described as an ‘absolute protagonist’ of the London scene and pop culture of the 1960s and 70s.
The former Sandy Lane resident remains much-loved in Warrington and an exhibition at Warrington Museum in 1999 was perhaps the most popular in its long history.
Some of his work is currently on show in a special exhibition at the museum.
